I was that kid. You know the one. The kid who on school camp took more photos of grass and rocks and sky than of actual people and activities. I would often return from these camps with my family eager to see the pictures, only to find that when the prints were ready from the chemist, that there was actually nothing of narrative value to the images, except rocks and lines and water. And they were often blurry too.
But, I got better and for my 21st birthday bought myself an Olympus OM-1 with a standard 50mm lens (just like my dad's). And I was hooked.
Ever since that time, I have endevoured to capture life around me and enjoy photographing a range of genres such as long exposure, landscapes, architectural and still life.
Being a full-time teacher, photography takes me away from the demands of the classroom and lets me pursue creative interests at my own pace and level. At the encouragement from others, I have taken the step to present and offer my work to the general public. I am based in Melbourne, Australia and spend my time refining my techniques and subjects, giving you the best of what I capture.
